Box Office Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

These policies apply to tickets, subscriptions and other purchases made through the Ottawa Pops Orchestra (OPO) box office and our official ticketing and payment platforms.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and accept the terms of sale presented at checkout and the applicable Ottawa Pops Orchestra Box Office Policies.

Official Box Office

The official Ottawa Pops Orchestra online box office is:

ottawapopsorchestra.tuxedobillet.com

For box office assistance:

info@ottawapopsorchestra.ca

Tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party websites, resale platforms or individuals are not managed by OPO. We cannot guarantee their validity and may not be able to replace, exchange or otherwise service them.

Ticket Prices & Fees

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars.

Applicable taxes and ticketing fees are included in the price displayed, unless otherwise clearly indicated before checkout.

Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase, including the:

  • performance

  • date and time

  • number of tickets

  • seating location

  • ticket type

  • order total

Once your order has been completed, please review your confirmation and contact the box office as soon as possible if you notice an error.

Payment

Online and recurring transactions are processed through OPO's authorized ticketing and payment-processing systems, including Tuxedo, PayFacto and Square

Tuxedo and PayFacto are used for purchases made through our current online box office.

Square may be used for recurring subscriptions, legacy subscriber accounts and other authorized box office transactions.

Depending on how your purchase or subscription was processed, your transaction confirmation or financial statement may therefore reference one of these authorized services.

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout or communicated by our box office team, as applicable.

For your security, never send your complete credit or debit card information by email. OPO staff will not ask you to email your full card number, expiry date or security code.

Order Confirmation

A purchase is complete once payment has been successfully processed and an order confirmation has been generated.

Your confirmation and tickets will be sent to the email address associated with your account and/or made available through your Tuxedo account.

Please retain your confirmation until after the performance.

If you do not receive a confirmation after completing your purchase, check your junk or spam folder and your Tuxedo account before placing another order.

Do not purchase the same tickets a second time because you have not received an email confirmation. Contact the box office if you are unsure whether your transaction was successful.

For recurring or legacy subscription transactions processed through Square, confirmation and ticket delivery may follow a different process communicated directly by the OPO box office.

Refunds

All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable.

Refunds will only normally be provided when:

  • a performance is cancelled by the Ottawa Pops Orchestra;

  • OPO identifies a box office or payment-processing error requiring a refund; or

  • a refund is required by applicable law.

Personal circumstances, illness, inability to attend, travel difficulties, weather or other circumstances affecting a patron's ability to attend do not normally qualify for a refund.

Eligible subscribers may instead use their subscriber exchange benefit.

Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original method of payment

Processing times after a refund is issued may vary depending on the financial institution and payment processor.

Subscriber Exchanges

Current subscribers receive fee-free ticket exchanges as part of their subscriber benefits.

Subject to availability, an eligible subscription ticket may be exchanged for another performance within the same OPO season

Exchange requests must be received before the original performance begins.

If the replacement ticket has a higher price, the patron is responsible for the difference.

If the replacement ticket has a lower price, the difference is not refundable and has no cash value.

Tickets for a performance that has already taken place cannot normally be exchanged.

Single-Ticket Exchanges

Single tickets are not normally exchangeable

OPO may accommodate an exchange in exceptional circumstances when ticket availability and box office operations permit. Any difference in ticket price will apply.

An exception granted on one occasion does not create an entitlement to future exchanges.

Missed Performances

Tickets for past performances have no cash value.

Refunds, credits and exchanges are not provided for missed performances.

If you know in advance that you cannot attend, contact the box office before the performance. Subscribers may be eligible to use their exchange benefit.

Cancelled Performances

If OPO cancels a performance, affected ticket holders will be contacted using the information associated with their order.

Depending on the circumstances, OPO may offer:

  • transfer to a rescheduled performance;

  • exchange into another eligible performance;

  • a credit; or

  • a refund to the original method of payment.

Instructions and applicable deadlines will be communicated directly to affected ticket holders.

Postponed or Rescheduled Performances

If a performance is postponed or rescheduled, existing tickets will normally remain valid for the new date.

Affected ticket holders will receive information about the rescheduled performance and any available options.

Programs & Artists

Programs, repertoire, artists, conductors, musicians and other production elements are subject to change.

Changes to repertoire, artists, personnel or other program elements do not constitute a cancellation and do not normally qualify for a refund.

Seating

All reserved seating is subject to availability.

The seat identified on your ticket is your assigned seat unless otherwise directed by OPO or venue staff.

OPO may relocate patrons when reasonably necessary because of production requirements, accessibility needs, safety considerations or changes to the seating configuration.

When relocation is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to provide comparable or better seating.

Late Seating

Please arrive with enough time to enter the venue and take your seat before the performance begins.

Latecomers may be required to wait until an appropriate break in the performance before entering the hall and may temporarily be seated in an alternate location.

Some performances or program segments may not permit late seating.

Late arrival does not qualify for a refund.

Accessibility

We want our performances to be accessible to as many patrons as possible.

Please note that the balcony at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre is not wheelchair accessible and cannot be reached by elevator. Patrons who require step-free access should select seating on the main level.

Accessible seating is available through our box office. If you require wheelchair seating, step-free access or another accommodation that is not clearly available when purchasing online, please contact us at info@ottawapopsorchestra.ca before completing your purchase.

We will work with our venues and patrons to accommodate accessibility requirements whenever reasonably possible.

Children & Age Recommendations

Age recommendations may vary by concert and will be identified on the applicable event page where relevant.

Unless otherwise indicated, every patron occupying a seat requires a valid ticket.

Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether a performance is appropriate for their child.

Under30 Tickets

The OPO Under30 program provides special pricing for patrons under 30 years of age.

Simply select the applicable Under30 ticket type when purchasing eligible tickets.

Under30 inventory and eligibility may vary by concert, seating section or subscription product.

Under30 tickets have no cash value beyond the ticket purchased and may not be purchased for unauthorized resale.

Subscriptions

An OPO subscription consists of eligible tickets to three or more concerts within the same season.

Subscribers can build their package directly through the OPO box office by choosing eligible concerts, performance dates and seats.

Once eligible tickets for three or more concerts have been added to the cart, applicable subscriber pricing and benefits are automatically applied at checkout.

Subscriptions are subject to seat availability and are available only during the published subscription sales period.

Subscriber Benefits

Current subscriber benefits may include:

  • OPO's lowest regular prices of the season;

  • priority access to seats;

  • 15% savings on eligible additional tickets for friends and family;

  • fee-free exchanges within the same season; and

  • early access and invitations to select events.

Benefits may vary by season and have no cash value.

Subscriber discounts cannot normally be combined with other promotions unless specifically indicated.

Additional Subscriber Tickets

Current subscribers receive 15% off eligible additional tickets for friends and family.

Eligible additional tickets must be purchased through the account associated with the subscription.

Certain special events, fundraisers, externally presented events, premium products or designated performances may be excluded.

Discounts are subject to availability and cannot normally be applied retroactively.

Recurring Subscriptions

Patrons who wish to participate in OPO's recurring subscription program can contact:

info@ottawapopsorchestra.ca

with the subject:

Recurring Subscription

Our box office team will provide the required enrollment form and instructions.

Recurring subscribers may be eligible to maintain their original opt-in subscription pricing from season to season, subject to the conditions communicated at enrollment and renewal.

Before each season, recurring subscribers will receive renewal and payment information from OPO.

A recurring subscription is not considered renewed until payment has been successfully completed by the communicated deadline.

Failure to complete payment by the renewal deadline may result in:

  • release of previously held seats;

  • loss of priority seating; and

  • loss of protected recurring subscriber pricing.

Recurring and legacy subscriptions may continue to be administered through OPO's authorized Square account while we transition our box office systems.

Patrons will be notified directly if the payment or renewal process associated with their recurring subscription changes.

Subscription Seat Selection

Subscription seating is subject to availability.

Purchasing or renewing a subscription does not guarantee that a particular seat will remain available indefinitely unless OPO has specifically confirmed that seat.

OPO may establish priority periods and seat-selection deadlines for each season.

Once ticket inventory is released for general public sale, OPO cannot guarantee previously available subscription seating.

Promotions & Discount Codes

Promotional offers and access codes:

  • are subject to availability;

  • may have specific eligibility requirements;

  • may be limited to particular performances, sections or ticket types;

  • may expire;

  • cannot normally be combined with other offers; and

  • cannot normally be applied retroactively to completed purchases.

The introduction of a later promotion does not entitle previous purchasers to a refund or price adjustment.

OPO does not intentionally use last-minute public discounts to undercut its regular subscriber pricing.

Private subscriber, promotional and access codes should not be publicly shared.

OPO reserves the right to cancel or restrict codes that are used fraudulently or contrary to the conditions of an offer.

Complimentary Tickets

Complimentary tickets have no cash value and are non-refundable.

Exchanges or transfers of complimentary tickets are at the discretion of OPO and subject to availability.

Unused complimentary tickets do not generate a credit.

Ticket Transfers

Where ticket-transfer functionality is available through our box office platform, eligible tickets may be transferred to another person.

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the intended recipient receives the correct ticket.

OPO is not responsible for private financial arrangements between patrons.

Ticket Resale

Tickets may not be resold for commercial purposes without authorization from the Ottawa Pops Orchestra.

OPO does not guarantee the validity of tickets obtained through unauthorized resale websites, marketplaces or individuals.

Tickets obtained or distributed through fraud, unauthorized resale or misuse of a promotional program may be cancelled without compensation.

Barcode & Ticket Security

Do not publicly share photographs or screenshots displaying your ticket barcode or other admission credential.

Each valid ticket credential permits admission according to the conditions attached to that ticket.

OPO is not responsible for tickets copied, transferred or distributed by the purchaser.

Duplicate or Incorrect Charges

If you believe you have been charged twice or charged an incorrect amount, please contact the OPO box office as soon as possible.

Include your:

  • name;

  • order number, if applicable;

  • transaction date;

  • amount charged; and

  • a brief description of the issue.

Do not send complete payment card information by email.

We will investigate and correct verified box office or payment-processing errors.

Payment Disputes

If you do not recognize an OPO transaction or believe a payment was processed incorrectly, please contact our box office so that we can investigate the transaction.

Because OPO uses multiple authorized payment systems, including Tuxedo, PayFacto and Square, providing the transaction date and amount will help our team identify the purchase.

If a payment dispute or chargeback has already been initiated through your financial institution, please let us know when contacting us so that the same transaction is not refunded twice.

OPO may provide relevant transaction and order records to its payment processor or financial institution when responding to a payment dispute, as permitted by law.

Privacy & Account Information

OPO collects information necessary to process purchases, deliver tickets, administer subscriptions, provide customer service and communicate important information about performances.

Patrons are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information in their box office account.

The contact information associated with an order may be used for transactional communications, including:

  • order confirmations;

  • ticket delivery;

  • subscription administration;

  • performance changes or cancellations;

  • venue and accessibility information; and

  • other information necessary to fulfill the purchase.

Marketing communications are managed separately in accordance with applicable requirements.

Payment information is processed through OPO's authorized payment and ticketing systems, including Tuxedo, PayFacto and Square, as applicable.

Complete payment-card credentials should never be sent to OPO by ordinary email.

Technical Issues & Ticket Availability

Ticket availability displayed online can change rapidly.

Selecting a seat or adding a ticket to a cart does not guarantee the ticket until the transaction has been successfully completed.

If our ticketing platform, payment processor or another required service experiences a technical interruption, OPO may temporarily pause sales or provide an alternate purchasing process.

If you experience an error while purchasing, verify your account and payment status before attempting the same transaction again.

Pricing & Box Office Errors

OPO makes reasonable efforts to ensure that ticket prices, performance information and inventory are accurate.

If a material pricing, inventory or technical error occurs, OPO reserves the right to correct it.

If an affected order cannot reasonably be fulfilled, OPO may provide an appropriate replacement, credit or refund.

Patron Conduct & Admission

OPO and its venues reserve the right to refuse admission or remove a patron when reasonably necessary for safety, security or serious disruption of a performance or other patrons.

Patrons must comply with applicable venue policies.

A patron removed for inappropriate, unsafe or prohibited conduct does not normally qualify for a refund.

Changes to These Policies

OPO may update these policies as our programs, ticketing systems and operations evolve.

The policies in effect at the time of purchase will generally govern that transaction, except where a change is required by law or is more favourable to the patron.

Performance-specific terms communicated at the time of purchase may supplement these policies.
