Open Dress Rehearsals

A behind-the-scenes look at how a semi-professional orchestra prepares for performance.

What is an OPO Open Dress Rehearsal?

An Open Dress Rehearsal is a working evening rehearsal in the concert hall, preceded by a 30-minute bilingual conductor talk. Students observe how a concert is prepared, hear the conductor work with the orchestra, and gain insight into professional music-making and arts careers. Topics of the conductor talk vary by program.
